Gladstone carols event a ‘glowing crowd of Santos GLNG blue’

Despite the threat of rain, thousands of Gladstone Region residents embraced the holiday spirit at the 2023 Santos GLNG Mayor’s Christmas Carols last Friday at Gladstone Ports Corporation’s Marina Parklands.

Senior Community Relations Adviser Carey McIntosh said Santos GLNG raised over $3,500, through a Super Raffle and the sale of LED candles and picnic rugs, for The Salvation Army’s Gladstone Christmas Appeal, and to assist those in the region affected by the recent bushfires.

“A huge thank you to those GLNG team members who so generously volunteered their time to sell raffle tickets and merchandise to fundraise for those in-need in our community,” Carey said.

“It was a great team effort.”

The evening featured performances from local school choirs, former Hi-5 member Charli Robinson, award-winning First Nations entertainer Marcus Corowa, face-painting, fireworks, and an appearance from Santa himself!

The Santos GLNG Mayor’s Christmas Carols is an important event in the Gladstone Region community that members of the GLNG Team look forward to every year, and we’re proud to have supported the event since 2011.
